Dawnwhisker started at the river intently, in a crouch. He waited for a flash of silver, the river gently roaring in his ears. Then he saw it, and lashed out one of his paws, sinking his claws into the fish. He then yanked it out and left it under his paw until it stopped flailing. He then purred and picked it up- it was rather small, but it was plump and juicy. He flicked his tail and stood up in pride. He always felt happy whenever he caught something, even something as small as a minnow. He set it aside and stared at the river again, waiting for another fish to swim by.

"Good catch!" Silverstorm meowed, padding up to the orange tom, admiring the fish. The Clan was doing well and Silverstorm was bursting of pride for really no reason. "It is such a beautiful day!" She meowed, settling herself down beside him. She stared at the river, angling herself so that her shadow wouldn't scare all the fish away and waited. Suddenly another fish flashed under the surface and with one quick movement she scooped it up and onto the bank. "Nothing better than some fish and some friends." Silverstorm joked, she wasn't good friends with the tom but she admired his abilities and knew he was a very skilled warrior.

Dawnwhisker's ears pricked as he heard Silverstorm's mew. "Hi, Silverstorm." He mewed quietly as he noticed Silverstorm crouching down. He waited until she caught the fish before saying anything else. "Thank you, and you made a nice catch too!" He mewed. He the looked at the sky. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky, and the sky seemed to be a endless blue. "I love greenleaf." He purred, flicking his ears. "Besides the heat, prey is plentiful and the river is nice and cool."

"Thank you!" Silverstorm purred, her tail twitching with pleasure. "And yes greenleaf is always good to OceanClan." She stared back at the river, wondering if she could confide to the tom about what seemed to be troubling her. "I always get nervous in greenleaf," Silverstorm finally admitted after a pause. "OceanClan thrives the most out of all the Clans however I am worried that they see us as too soft." Silverstorm paused again, flashing out her paw and scooping up another fish onto the bank. "Is it bad I am already trying to prepare for Leaf-bare? We have enjoyed this time of peace but once Leaf-bare comes..." Silverstorm trailed off, feeling a little foolish at her sudden outburst. "Er.... Sorry about that Dawnwhisker." She murmured, "The heat is getting to me."

(Sorry I'm late)
Dawnwhisker flicked his ears at Silverstorm's outburst. "It's alright Silverstorm." He mewed, then catching a fish from the river and setting it aside. "But you should relax a bit. We pretty good with all of the clans besides MountainClan." He then paused, then added, "And who would attack a well-fed clan? And for the leaf-bare part, I don't know what to do." He then got up and ruffled his pelt before going into the hunting position again.

((don't worry about it!))
Silverstorm sighed, glad the tom didn't think she was completely crazy. "Yeah that's very true." She meowed, "I think I'll feel better once I get some fish in my belly." She joked, scooping up another fish. Silverstorm was glad the river was full of fish, she knew her Clan wouln't go hungry anytime soon. "How's Mottlepaw?" Silverstorm asked, quickly changing the subject, remembering that Dawnwhisker mentored the very enthusiastic she-cat. "Do you like being her mentor?"

"Mottlepaw's doing great," Dawnwhisker mewed proudly. "I really enjoy being her mentor." He added. "I would have invited her to go fishing with me, but I couldn't find her." He mewed, embarrassed slightly. He the got up from his spot and looked at the pile. 5 juciy fish were already in the pile. He purred. "The best thing about greenleaf is all the nice fresh-kill we get."

Silverstorm purred in response, Foggystar had made the right decision of making the orange tom a mentor. "Don't worry about not finding her," SIlverstorm meowed, "You still have plently of time to train later, plus there isn't much trouble she can get into right now." Silverstorm followed Dawnwhisker's gaze and stared proudly at the pile of fish. "Way to go Dawnwhisker!" Silverstorm purred, "It is a great time to fish, even for greenleaf." She meowed, her tail curling with content and happiness. SIlverstorm gave her pelt a few quick licks and stretched out, her pelt warm from the sunshine. "Oh I could just sit here all day." Silverstorm purred.

"Hey, you caught most of it," He chuckled. He then dipped his paw into the water and wiped his face on it. "Sorry, i'm a bit hot." He mewed. "Do you think we have enough fish?" He asked, flicking his tail. "It already seems like a lot. And we don't want to catch too much." He then lied down onto his side to sunbathe a bit.

Silverstorm purred and nodded at him. "Thanks but your fish are bigger! But yes I think we should be okay for now. There are other patrols out too and I'm sure everyone will want to come down here at some point or another. It is a gorgeous day." Silverstorm meowed, looking at the flowing water. Her thicker pelt made the day hotter than normal so Silverstorm launched herself off the bank and into the more shallow area of the river. Silverstorm could see the fish scatter but the water was too cool for her to care. She purred as she kicked around her powerful legs, and then pulled herself out of the water. She shook her pelt, sending water flying and she sent an apologetic look towards Dawnwhisker. "Er, sorry if I got you wet," She meowed, embarrassed, "That felt way too good to not do though."
