Ivykit brushed a feather away from her jaws with a sweep of her tongue. She was glad they were finally eating fresh-kill, like warriors! The remains of the bird that was shared between herself and her brothers lay between them as they sat outside, basking in the evening heat. Her tummy was full, but it seemed like Coalkit and Stonekit still had a little hunger in them.
She turned herself around, padding to the very edge of the ledge. She peered down, seeing warriors and apprentices padding along the rocky paths below. She tilted her head. It was mealtime - why wasn't everyone else eating? They were laying in the sun, eyes dull and tired... and the evening sun cast strange shadows on their bodies, dark lines running up and down.
Ivykit looked back to her brothers. Something was definitely wrong.
((Note: The kits do not know about the lack of prey. Currently, the kits of FlameClan - along with elders and queens - are being fed the most. This thread will be about the kits finding out - but warriors not wanting to break it to them.))

Coalkit was settled down beside Ivykit, trying to lick the last taste of the bird they had shared from his whiskers. It had been good and he was very excited to be eating fresh-kill like the older cats, but he was still hungry. He'd hung back from the meal, letting Ivykit fill her belly first before really digging in. He watched his littermate look over the ledge and then back at him and Stonekit. "I'm still hungry," he declared. He got up and padded over to Ivykit to look down on the Clan as well. It was strange to him that the warriors didn't seem to be settling in for mealtime as well. He spotted Emberfur coming out of the elder's den next door and darted over to her. "Emberfur! We're eating fresh-kill now!" he announced proudly.
"That's wonderful, Coalkit," the warrior answered, but there was a hint of uncertainty in her voice that confused the young kit. The ginger warrior looked tired and her pelt was growing dull and it looked like she could use a good grooming.
"Are you sick?" Coalkit asked with a tilt of his head.
"No, kit, just... tired," was Emberfur's answer.
Coalkit turned and ran back to his siblings. "Emberfur doesn't feel good," he meowed. He ignored the gentle sigh from behind him as Emberfur watched the kits. "We should help her, don't you think?"

Ivykit tipped her head. For once, she agreed with her brother. "Yeah," she mewed. "Smokefang's been looking not-so-good, too."
She looked at Stonekit. He was in charge of the siblings while they were outside the camp. "We should do something! Everyone seems so down. Please?" she begged.

Stonekit nodded, his tail twitching nervously as he remembered how Nightstorm didn't want to play earlier. "Maybe we should make them eat! Or we could have Buzzardstar force them to eat! They can't ignore the orders of the leader after all."

Ivykit nodded in agreement, happy that both her brothers were on board and agreeing for once. She hopped onto her short, stubby legs and mewed, "Let's go! Buzzardstar has to know that everyone's not feeling so good. If she doesn't want to help, then we can give every cat in the Clan food ourselves!"

Coalkit gave a little bounce as they decided on a plan. "What are we waiting for?" he demanded. He turned and ran a little ways down the path before turning back to his littermates. "Let's go, we gotta do something fast!" And who knew? Maybe while they were at it, they could get a little something extra to eat as well.
