MountainClan:
Squirrelstar was bristling, though not from the cold. She waited impatiently at the roots of the Moontree, wondering just when the other Clans would get their acts together and come down so this Gathering could end. She sheathed and unsheathed her claws, doing her best not to claw at the roots of the sacred white tree.
MountainClan has little to announce, she thought. She looked at her Clan, getting warm with one another in the clearing. She could pick out the ribs on some of her warriors, and she curled her lip. Those thieving wolves! All the same, I'd like to get this over with. It's only a matter of time before some cat notices MountainClan's weakness and tries taking our land...
OceanClan:
Foggystar waited at the edge of the clearing, looking down into the hollow. MountainClan had already arrived, and ForestClan and FlameClan were waiting on their respective ridges. His Clan was gathered behind him, their thick coats fluffed up against the chill. He looked back - leaf-bare was settling in around all corners of the Valley, but it seemed like his Clan wasn't feeling it too hard. The rivers and the ocean were still there for the fishing, and Foggystar was confident they'd make it through this season with full bellies.
He lifted his tail to signal his Clan and then bounded down the slope.
--
Ashpaw fluffed up his pelt - he didn't think that the world could get so cold! He huddled with the other apprentices, listening to them whisper and chat about the grievances at the other Gatherings. Apparently FlameClan and ForestClan weren't getting along - that, combined with the fact that MountainClan was rigid as stone (according to some) made Ashpaw wonder why the Clans even bothered gathering together at all.
He saw Foggystar's tail rise. Excitement flitted through him as he followed the apprentices down into the hollow - what was he thinking? This was his first Gathering! He wasn't going to let stone-faced fox-hearts ruin it!
--
Mudpath trotted down with the rest of her Clanmates. She cast a glance at the apprentices and saw Ashpaw's eyes grow round with wonder as he took in the Moontree for himself.
I remember my first time, too, she thought. The Moontree had been dazzling, lit up as if by StarClan themselves. The great white tree still clung to its leaves through leaf-bare, unlike any other tree in the Valley. They rustled and shimmered against the night-black sky, glittering like it was made of the moon.
Mudpath followed her Clanmates into the hollow. MountainClan was already down there, and Mudpath sighed. She would find no conversation with them, she was sure. She made her way to a group of OceanClan warriors and settled in the outskirts.
ForestClan:
Lightningfoot fluffed out his fur, waiting to move. He felt as if the cold would creep up into his bones and freeze him solid if he stayed still too much longer. He glanced at Foxstar, wondering if his leader would get moving before the frost came.
FlameClan:
Ivypaw was bustling with excitement - she had been made an apprentice, and she was coming to her first Gathering! This felt like the best moon ever! She clawed at the ground impatiently. Buzzardstar couldn't get moving fast enough! Ivypaw wanted to see the Moontree, the clearing, all the Clans... everything!
((Firetail and Turtlepaw did not attend this Gathering.
((I am controlling Foggystar during Gatherings (and some other important things) until someone adopts him.
((If anyone wants to see what happened last time, here is the thread for the last Gathering.
((This Gathering will be wrapped up on the 31st!))
