Sandspirit backed out of his way, making room for his showdown with the crab. She placed hers down at her paws and sat, watching patiently as her Clanmate sniffed the air.

"Don't worry Shrewheart I got your back." She promised, stepping next to the tom and scenting the ground, there was some smell of crab but it did seem a bit stale. ((yeah they are a bit short ))

Dipping his head in thanks to Silverstorm's support, Shrewheart felt at least a tad more confident than he did before. Sure, there was the lingering thought of how threatening a crab's claws were, but he knew it couldn't possibly hurt him for long before his clanmates rushed in to save him.
Pushing his feelings away momentarily, Shrewheart sniffed again, this time, following the scent trail that he favored over the rest. He only managed to move a few tail-lengths before, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a brownish orange shape shifting where the waves often carried away sand. Shrewheart turned toward it, standing up straighter to confirm that it was, in fact, a semi-large crab.
He moved back over to Silverstorm, keeping his voice low, "There's one near the edge of the shoreline." He used his tail to motion to the direction where he had spotted it as he meowed, "I think it's distracted."
"If I get it on its back, will you finish it off?" he offered quietly. Even though the crab was too far to hear him, Shrewheart didn't want to take any risks. "If you want, I can even try pinning down its pincers while you do it." He wasn't very sure about how he could do that last part, but it was worth a shot.
(For some odd reason I keep calling Silverstorm Silverheart. :T)

((hahaha thats great )) Silverstorm looked to the direction Shrewheart was pointing and saw that there was in fact a crab by the shore. She paused for a second, studying it before she turned back to Shrewheart. "Don't worry about the pinchers, there is no point in trying that because those pinchers hurt. If you can flip it and distract it I can finish it off." She meowed, confident in herself and in the tortoiseshell tom. She crept along the shore line, behind the crab and waited in a crouch for Shrewheart to make his move. "Okay Silverstorm, you got this." She whispered to herself, her muscles tense and ready.

Shrewheart wasted no time taking his position on the other side, making sure that he was directly across from Silverstorm. Keeping close to the ground, he took a deep breath, preparing to leap. Get in, get out. His plan was to quickly go in, turn the crab over, and then get out. It sounded easy, but that didn't stop Shrewheart from having a twinge of anxiety.
Finally done going over his plan, he sprang forward, diving to attempt to flick the crab onto its back. But, much to his dismay, his aim was off, and all he managed to do was jab the crab's side. In a panic, he hastily tried to pull his paw back, only to find it in the grasp of his prey.
Holding back a yelp, he slammed his other paw into the crab, thankfully managing to shove it far enough away for him to rip his captured paw out. Then, forgetting what he had originally intended to do, he stumbled backwards, readying his good paw to strike in case the crab would decide to go after him.
(Ugh go away writer's block :S )

((I'm sorry but why does ur writers block turn into like three paragraphs while mine normally just causes me to mash a ton of keys and send it?))
Silverstorm saw the crab grab Shrewheart and she silently cursed to herself, that wasn't what she wanted. Silverstorm was glad the tom was able to pull his paw out but she wasn't sure how hurt it was. Deciding she had let her Clanmate be enough danger, Silverstorm pounced. With a flash, Silverstorm filled the distracted crab onto the sand. It let out a sound that Silverstorm assumed meant it was angry but before it could react, she jabbed her paw into the crabs nerve and it went still. She gave it another hit, just to be sure then padded over to Shrewheart. "Bad luck!" She meowed, "are you okay?" She asked, giving him a sniff.

Icescale carefully chose her path down to the beach, remaining alert for any form of shellfish. Humming softly to herself, and scanning the horizon, she was surprised to see the silhouettes of three cats. Picking up speed, the tabby gleefully approached them stopping short when she saw that Shrewheart had injured his paw. "What happened?" Icescale asked, circling around the tom.
((Idk if this takes place on a beach that just how I pictured it...))

((it's like a shore/bank but yeah its the same thing))
"Crabs." Silverstorm meowed, dipping her head at Icescale. "How are you Icescale?" She didn't know the warrior would be out today and she cursed herself for not organizing better this morning. "Some deputy you are." She thought to herself.

'Oh' Icescale grimaced, she had never been pinched by a crab herself, but she had what those claws could be capable of. "Ahh," her green eyes darted between her deputy and Shrewheart's injured paw,"It's been okay, I was scolded earlier for sleeping in by my brother." The tabby mewed sheepishly, ducking her head. Brightening up she added," I feeling pretty peckish, so I decided to come out her and get myself a crab or two. But, erm, I see you've beaten me to it," angling her tail towards the dead crab.
((Okay.))

Silverstorm nodded, "Sandspirit also got one." She meowed, flicking her tail towards the second dead crab. "It has been a good practice, it is good to practice being quick and clever." She made a mental note to talk to Foggystar about new training techniques based on fighting crabs, OceanClan cats had to be quick and clever when hunting, why not when fighting? "I doubt there will be many crabs out now but I'm sure there will be plenty of fish around."
