Icescale turned around, and stared at Sliverstorm with a look of confusion. Furrowing her brow she tried to remember a spot where they could at least get a drink of water. "I think there's a little stream near by." She meowed, lashing her tail out of annoyance, why didn't Shrewheart just tell them his paw was bothering him? "It's big enough to have some fish in it as well," The tabby added briskly locking her green gaze with the tom's," So if you can't go any farther then you can at least catch a fish or two."

Although he kept his expression neutral, Shrewheart found himself on the verge of scowling at that last part-- something that was incredibly rare for the tom to ever do, considering he always worried about hurting his clanmate's feelings. How many times did he have to say that he was fine for them to actually listen?
"That sounds lovely," he meowed, unintended coldness seeping into his tone. He padded right past Icescale, going in what direction he hoped led to the stream that she was talking about- this time, using his lopsided strategy.

Icescale didn't bother stopping the growl that had risen in her throat, she inwardly cursed herself for getting on the tom's bad side. "I'm glad you agree," she stated forcing on a calm expression, "but unless you fancy yourself at the Mountianclan border, I suggest you follow me." The she-cat then gave a sickeningly sweet purr, turned around, and the began for the stream. In all honesty she didn't mean to be rude, but the way Shrewheart was acting was riding her nerves. Without realising Icescale began mumbling to herself, every once and while growling at nothing, and lashing her tail rather violently.
After a while they soon reacted the stream, it was small, as promised but it didn't take a skilled warrior to see the shining fish in the water. Not bothering to silence herself, Icescale padded to the waters edge - making sure her shadow didn't fall over the water- and began to do the one thing she was good at. Fish.

Silverstorm set herself next to Icescale, glad to see that there were fish that they could catch at the stream. "We should just hunt here." She meowed, "It's getting late anyways and I don't want to worry Foggystar." She said, looking at the sky. Plus they had the two crabs and other patrols were out, "The Clan will feed well tonight." She thought proudly. She stared back at the water, waiting for an unsuspecting fish to come too close to the surface.

Shrewheart came to an immediate halt, spinning around as soon as his ears caught the sound of her purr. Frowning, he opened his mouth, only to close it when he bit back a nasty retort. I need to stop getting so upset about this, he realized, scolding himself for getting so riled up on a hunting patrol, of all things.
Forcing his expression to be neutral, he caught up to them as quickly as he could. At first, Shrewheart wasn't paying attention enough to notice it, but he soon caught on that Icescale wasn't too happy with him. Oh, great, he thought, feeling guilty over how easily he had caused the mood of this trip to go sour. He promised to himself that he'd figure out a way to resolve this before it turned into a long-term grudge- even if he didn't enjoy the way she and Silverstorm had pestered him.
Relieved to finally be at the stream, Shrewheart settled himself down a fox-length away from the other two. Looking down into the water from a safe distance - so that the fish wouldn't notice his presence - he waited for a fish to foolishly swim close enough enough to catch.

It, admittedly, took a while for the fish to show up. Flicking her ear at Sliverstorm's suggest, Icescale turned her attention to the stream.
As soon as a fish dared to make an appearance near the surface, she quickly scooped it up out of the water. The trout flew up in the air only to be batted back down onto the earth hard. Pressing a paw on the fish side, she gave a quick thanks to Starclan, and delivered the killing bite. For her, the catch was sloppy and lacked her usual grace, not to mention the trout wasn't huge. Sighing, Icescale nudged her kill away from the stream, turned her attention back to the still rippling water.
((Eh, I don't know what kind of fish they'd catch and I read that trout live in streams so yeah.))

Silverstorm flicked her ears at Icescale, admiring her catch. Sure it wasn't gracefully but it was a catch. She turned her focus back on the stream and when a fish flickered its way to the surface Silverstorm hooked her claws around it and pulled it up from the water. She killed it swiftly, thanking StarClan that they would be able to bring back fish as well as crabs for the Clan to eat.

(Apologies for the delay.)
Shrewheart kept his eyes trained on the water, anxiously waiting for his catch to appear at any given moment. Ears pricked, he watched the shadow of a fish swim closer and closer, until Shrewheart finally saw his chance. With the claws of his back-paws dug into the ground, the tom bent forward, jamming one of his forepaws into the water before dragging the fish onto land. To end the dace's life, he pinned it, sinking his teeth somewhere around it's neck until he was sure that it had stopped moving.
With that finished, Shrewheart picked the fish up, shifting his position a few paces to the right. He stole a quick glance at the others - making sure to see if they had caught anything - before returning his gaze down to the water. Sure, dace was miles better than a minnow, but in a competition like this he wasn't too confident in winning with it.
