MountainClan:
Squirrelstar stood poised with her warriors behind her. The Moontree lay before them, glowing in the moonlight like a dozen moons, its leaves rustling in the late greenleaf breeze like a million stars twinkling. Squirrelstar could sense the other leaders getting ready to move down into the hollow.
There's no way I'm letting them know about the wolf, she thought. I will not show weakness... nor will I dare let Foggystar have the satisfaction of knowing I've considered asking him for help. But if the wolf can't be driven off soon...
She shook her head. Squirrelstar raised her stumpy tail, giving the signal to move.
Wolfheart stood behind her leader, blinking in the moonlight. She felt tense, wary - she ought to have stayed behind, help protect the Clan. But Snowfoot insisted she take a break from wolf-duty - have a night off. Even Squirrelstar agreed. She set her face with a frown.
When Squirrelstar gave the signal, Wolfheart bounded down the slope towards the Moontree. The Gathering had begun!
ForestClan:
Lightningfoot danced on his toes just behind Foxstar. Darkeyes sat near him, and he couldn't be happier that she was here, too. He leaned over and asked, "When do you think Foxstar will move? Do you think he'll mention anything about FlameClan?" Silently, Lightningfoot hoped there wouldn't be a fight between their Clans this Gathering.
FlameClan:
Firetail looked across the hollow. ForestClan's group was there, waiting behind Foxstar. He unsheathed his claws and sank them into the dry earth.
Buzzardstar had better give them a piece of her mind! he thought. Or I might!
OceanClan:
Mudpath swallowed she could feel the tension in the air, and she wasn't even down before the Moontree yet. Foggystar would move eventually, but Mudpath blamed her OceanClan instincts when she realized she didn't want to go yet. She had a bad feeling about this - and she wasn't the only one.
Turtlepaw shuffled on her paws. It was her first Gathering - and though she was excited to be here with Pikepaw, she couldn't help but feel like something was wrong.
It oughtn't feel this way, she realized, I should feel more excited.

MountainClan:
Crowtail stood stiffly behind Wolfheart. She never really liked attending gatherings. Outsider cats were not to be trusted. But if it would keep the peace, she’d honor the tradition. She wondered whether Squirrelstar would mention the wolf or not. Personally, Crowtail hoped not. She didn’t like to think of what the other clans would make of it. Soon, Squirrelstar gave the signal to move. She surged into the gathering area along with the rest of her clanmates.
FlameClan:
Bluestripe stood next to Buzzardstar, perhaps a bit too close. The air around her crackled with tension. She was trying not to look gloomy, but probably failed. She simply did not feel good about this gathering. She couldn’t imagine what Foxstar would have to say about his warriors’ transgression, but it couldn’t be anything good. She was worried for her clan. If they looked weak, ForestClan, or even MountainClan, might decide it was time to strike.
Redpaw twitched uncomfortably. She could see how tense everyone was- even her goofy mentor, Firetail. She still felt like the ForestClan intrusion was somehow her fault. It was a completely ludicrous thought, but guilt nagged at her. Everyone around her was angry and a little scared, and to top it off, Crowpaw hadn’t been able to come with her. She hoped everything would just go quickly and then she could go home.
OceanClan:
Pikepaw sat next to Turtlepaw, idly fumbling with his tail-tip. Their first gathering had felt a lot less tense than this. Was something wrong? A ways away, he could see the other clans. MountainClan looked as scary and grumpy as ever. ForestClan seemed well fed. FlameClan looked uncomfortably thin, and very angry. Had something happened?
“I’m kind of scared,” they whispered to Turtlepaw.

MountainClan: Raventail stood behind Squirrelstar, peering past her into the hollow. His crooked tail twitched anxiously as he was unable to stop thinking about the wolf in their territory. But if Squirrelstar didn't say anything in her announcements, then he would keep his mouth shut to the other medicine cats for now. He glanced around for Barleypaw, hoping his apprentice would remember to same. When Squirrelstar gave the signal to move, he raced down the slope alongside his Clanmates.
FlameClan: Emberfur kneaded the ground nervously where she was crouched next to Firetail. She was always nervous about being around so many cats from different Clans and her empty belly and brother's temper weren't helping to calm her nerves. "What do you think will happen?" she whispered to him after she caught him looking at the ForestClan group.

MountainClan:
Squirrelstar wasted no time - she padded to the base of the Moontree, settling herself amongst its roots to wait for the other leaders who were too nervous to come down just yet. The bark of the Moontree felt cold beneath her body, smooth like stone. She spotted OceanClan streaming into the hollow, leaping over the stream that blocked their way - or swimming through it without worry. She curled her lip at Foggystar.
Which leader will be the first to mention Snowfoot's absence? she thought. She planned to tell them that he wasn't feeling well - not that he was staying behind, with most of the MountainClan cats, to keep watch for the wolf.
Wolfheart padded into the hollow, trying to keep her fur from rising. The tension here was more than obvious. Even from the distance, she could see that FlameClan was skinny and ForestClan was fat. She frowned.
To Crowtail just behind her, she mentioned, "I get the feeling that something is going to happen between ForestClan and FlameClan tonight - something bad."
FlameClan:
Firetail glanced at his sister. He flattened his ears and sheathed his claws - he realized he must be frightening her.
"I think - I hope - Buzzardstar will call ForestClan out on trespassing in our territory," Firetail told her. "She can't let them get away with it!"
OceanClan:
Foggystar raised his tail for the Clan to move on. He didn't have much to report himself, but he could feel in his bones that this Gathering would bring trouble. He sighed as he leaped over the stream and into the Moontree's hollow.
Mudpath fluffed out her thick fur. She glanced back at the apprentices, noting that they were hesitating just as much as most of the warriors were. Flicking an ear, she meowed, "It'll be fine, I'm sure. StarClan won't let anything bad happen to us." Feeling too awkward to say anything else, Mudpath turned and leaped the stream, her bushy tail streaming behind her.
Turtlepaw shivered, wanting to believe Mudpath - but she had to agree with Pikepaw. She was terrified. But, she picked herself up and crossed the stream, wading with Pikepaw and a shorter warrior at her side.

MountainClan:
Crowtail's tail fluffed as she settled in the hollow. She needed to calm down! She didn't want the apprentices, especially exciteable Doepaw, to see her swelling like a kit seeing their own shadow. Feigning calmness, she sat with her clan.
She quite agreed with Wolfheart's comment. "I think you're on to something. Let's all pray to StarClan that we all return home with our fur on..." Squabbles between other clans were beneath MountainClan, but the other clans might drag them in anyway. Not that she thought Squirrelstar would want anything to do with it.
FlameClan:
OceanClan and MountainClan had already entered. Bluestripe was still struggling to hide her tension- the sight of fat, healthy ForestClan cats roused her temper. It was illogical to think that they were feasting on FlameClan prey, but with the recent intrusion, the sight quite rankled her. She could hear Firetail and Emberfur speaking quietly nearby. She quite agreed with them. Whatever Buzzardstar did would be the best decision. She was a canny cat who could take care of herself. But Bluestripe quite hoped she would be giving Foxstar a scolding for his warriors' behavior.
Redpaw shifted uncomfortably, seeing two clans in the hollow, while her clan hung back. The workings of the older warriors felt a little beyond her. Questions whirled in her head, and it was painful to not have Crowpaw to turn and whisper to. She'd have to wait.
OceanClan:
Pikepaw jumped as Foggstar signaled to enter. He padded in carefully, sticking close to Turtlepaw. He made a leap over the stream- he would rather not be shaking water from his fur in all this tension.
He smiled at Mudpath, but still felt uneasy. At least he would be here to help protect his clanmates if things went badly. But there probably wouldn't be any fighting. It was a truce, right? Still, there was nothing stopping ForestClan or MountainClan making an attack tomorrow, if they so wished. As Turtlepaw reached the other side of the stream, he moved to curl his tail around hers briefly, if she so wished.

ForestClan: Darkeyes leaned into Lightningfoot's pelt, trying not to look so worried. "Buzzardstar is going to have my tail off." She muttered to the tom. She was surprised Foxstar had let her come and slightly terrified that the leader would make her answer for the border mistake. "StarClan help me if this causes a fight at the Gathering I am going to feel like fox-dung." She told him, her yellow eyes full of worry. "FlameClan looks skinny... they are going to think I took their prey!" She hissed, bristling with anxiety.
OceanClan: Silverstorm padded behind her Clan as they leaped into the clearing. She liked to make sure all the OceanClan cats realized Foggystar had decided to move. She knew Foggystar well enough to notice that he was worried and Silverstorm was praying to StarClan nothing bad would happen at the Gathering. "As OceanClan's deputy I will do whatever I can to make peace between the Clans tonight." She promised the starry sky, StarClan wasn't forgiving on Gathering nights and Silverstorm knew that her praying was probably useless. There was too much tension in the air. Silverstorm was surprised to see that Snowfoot wasn't where the deputies sat, even though Squirrelstar was here. "What is happening?" She wondered, hoping nothing bad was happening so close to their borders.

MountainClan:
Squirrelstar watched as Foggystar slipped by her. She looked away from him, focusing on her Clan. Her warriors were settling in well in the hollow, and she looked up at FlameClan and ForestClan. What was taking them so long? She wanted to get this Gathering over and done with. The sooner they were down here, the better.
Wolfheart settled herself near her Clanmates. She didn't intend to say or do much with other Clans at any Gathering. She looked at the OceanClan cats warily, keeping her distance.
ForestClan:
Lightningfoot frowned. "I doubt Foxstar would call you out like that," he told Darkeyes. "Maybe he wants us here so that we can attest to it being an accident?" Not that FlameClan would believe them - but it had been an accident. If FlameClan didn't, then the other Clans probably would.
He pressed close to Darkeyes, hoping his presence would reassure her.
OceanClan:
Foggystar passed by Squirrelstar. He didn't miss that Snowfoot was missing - but he knew Squirrelstar well enough to know not to ask about where he was. Foggystar settled himself on a root further away, watching his Clan stream into the hollow. It wouldn't be long before ForestClan and FlameClan joined them and the Gathering could get underway.
Turtlepaw shook water off of her paws, wishing that her skinny legs were longer so that she could leap over the stream. She felt Pikepaw's tail curl near her's, and she stiffened with shock. Did they... did he really want to hold her tail? Her fur flamed instantly, and she avoided his gaze before gently accepting the gesture.
((Hopefully I'll be able to see this whole thing through - I know I'll be doing stuff at some point so I'll be absent for a teensy bit))

ForestClan-
Batpaw bounded after his clan mates into the crowded clearing beneath the glowing canopy of the Moontree. There was a spring in his step as he hobbled along at a steady jogging pace, and his fur prickled with excitement. It had been months since he was last allowed to go to a gathering; during this time he had been rather out of the loop when it came to news in the other clans. He had managed to pick up bits of gossip from listening to the conversations between the other warriors in ForestClan, but that was different from a gathering. Here, there were so many cats to talk to and so much information passed from one to another. The apprentice was so blinded by his joy that the tension hanging in the air like dense fog didn't register at first. It was only as he sat down near some cats from what appeared to be OceanClan and FlameClan that he began to notice wary, even hateful, glances being exchanged through the crowd. His plan of socializing suddenly seemed like a bad idea. Instead, he remain silent as everyone began to settle in small groups according to what clan they belonged to.
FlameClan-
Smokefang padded quietly and swiftly into the gathering place, choosing a quiet spot near the outer edge of the clearing to sit in, as she did for every gathering. She preferred to watch the action from a distance, taking it in on her own. The only time she had ever spoken during these events were when someone else approached her, to whom she would share a polite conversation with before returning to her own thoughts. It wasn't that she disliked socializing; in fact, she enjoyed it very much. It's just that she found it rather distracting at times like these. Today, she felt especially inclined to avoiding small talk, seeing as there were many hostile feelings being passed between her clan and ForestClan. Wrapping her pale grey tail neatly around her paws, she stared off at the high branches of the Moontree, watching the stars above flicker between its rustling leaves.

FlameClan
Buzzardstar didn't look well, the FlameClan leader hadn't slept in awhile, because she had been been worrying herself, of course on top of all that worry was hunger and anger. ForestClan well very pay for what they did, she growled, her pelt ruffled up, or I will make them. Buzzardstar gave an uneasy glance at her deputy, she could feel something in her stomach, uneasiness, she could feel that this gathering wouldn't be as peaceful as normal.
OceanClan
Breamstream gulped, normally the laid-back cat would feel so anxious, but they could feel tensions already rising. FlameClan didn't look so well, they were all terribly skinny and angry. They tilted their head, they wondered what happened to make a clan so ticked. They flattened their ears, and quickly averted their gaze to the ground.

Flameclan:
Pebblefoot felt extremely self-conscious as she watched all of the warriors in the hollow. The Flameclan cats seemed like twigs compared to the rest of the clans, especially Forestclan. Wishing she had eaten that mouse when it was volunteered to her, she sent a death glare to her loud stomach. The dull ache of hunger is what was keeping her awake, what little herbs Morningflower had spared was doing nothing to quell the the pain.
Stretching, she moved from her position in the outer hollow and tried to find some cat she could sit with. Her hazel eyes landed on Smokefang, the she-cat was seated not too far from her, she wouldn't wouldn't mind if she joined her, they were friends, right? Quickly, she made the transition from where she was over to her, avoiding all the cats she could as she when. "Hello Smokefang, I hope you don't kind me sitting here." She meowed, before plopping down next to the she-cat.
Oceanclan:
Icescale stared in awe of the Flameclan cats, how could they be so skinny? The tensions in the air made her very uneasy, it was common knowledge that Flameclan and Forestclan hated eachother, with the way that things were looking, it was clear something bad was going to happen. Padding up to BreamStream she decided to voice her concerns. "You don't think. . ." She began lamely shifting uneasily," You don't think that Flameclan will make a scene here." It was the gathering after all, they couldn't fight.
