The breeze was light but warm as Amberpaw burst out of the camp, stretching eagerly in the sunlight. she padded in a circle on the narrow passage away from camp, then turned to the camp. "Morningflower, come on! You promised we'd train today!" she calls back into the cave, her mew echoing through the cavern. The echo makes her take a step back, hoping she hasn't disturbed any of the other warriors. She resumed padding up and down the path as she waited for Morningflower to emerge.

Morningflower blinked sleepily and arched his back before padding stiffly out of the cave. The warm sun shone brightly on his thick pelt, and he yawned widely, watching his excited young apprentice with slitted green eyes. A purr bubbled up in his chest; he loved young cats, loved helping them out. He felt a bit of an ache in his chest as he though of his own kits, most of whom had met an untimely end. This, of course, brought him to Rooktail: it had been a few seasons since his mate had died, but he missed him keenly. With a gentle sigh, he opened his eyes and padded up to Amberpaw. "That's right, training." He tilted his head and studied her thoughtfully. "Anything in particular you want to do? It's one of our first training sessions, after all, and I wouldn't want to bore you right away with feather-gathering for the Elders' nests - though that certainly will be a task in the future," he warned lightheartedly.

"Don't remind me!" Amberpaw whines, starting to trot into the territory, thinking. She wanted to learn more hunting moves, but there was too much energy in her limbs right now, the idea of waiting patiently by the shore for fish to swim up sounded insane right now. "I want to learn to fight!" If she focused, maybe she could impress some of the older apprentices tonight.
