Story:
ForestClan was once ForestClan and FlameClan. They lived in the half of the Valley covered by rich, dense forests. They never went hungry during leaf-bare, for their forest was always filled with prey. They were known for their haughtiness when it came time for the other two Clans to face starvation. They had been the biggest Clan, with the most powerful warriors and the wisest leaders - and they were proud of this.
Their pride, however, was their downfall.
StarClan sent a fire to their rich, prey-filled forest and burnt half of it to the ground, leaving nothing but charred twigs and sticks and a desolate wasteland of ash.
Flameheart, a warrior of ForestClan, saw this is a sign that ForestClan had grown too powerful, and StarClan would only punish them further if they kept going the way that they were going. Flameheart gathered supporters and left ForestClan for that ashen waste, to become Flamestar of FlameClan.
The remaining cats of ForestClan did not like this one bit - they fought FlameClan again and again, but lost each and every time. Their reign as the most powerful of the Clans was over, and now they had to accept that FlameClan was a real thing that they could not change.
ForestClan is still as proud as it had been before, but now it knew the hunger of leaf-bare. Now they were humbled by MountainClan attacks. Now they knew what it was like to have rivals; to worry about survival.
Now they knew not to test the wrath of StarClan.
Prey: ForestClan is most like ThunderClan - they hunt in the undergrowth, looking for shrews, birds, squirrels, mice, and other small furry creatures. Though the ocean is on their side, they do not go near it and have no knowledge of how to reap its resources.
Pelt Types: Tabbies, torties, blacks, browns, grays... ForestClan has a plethora of pelts to choose from. Solid whites are not common, but have happened before. Their pelts aren't terribly thick, but provide warmth in leaf-bare.
Borders: ForestClan owns one-fourth of the Valley's territory. Their border with OceanClan is the delta, and it follows the forests on their side of the river. It skirts the neutral Moontree, and ends where the forest was ravaged by the flames of StarClan and goes no further.
Relations: ForestClan is determined to bring FlameClan back under it's hold. ForestClan does not like OceanClan, for they were the loudest supporters of FlameClan's separation. ForestClan, like OceanClan, is an enemy of MountainClan, and has joined with OceanClan only once to fight their mutual enemy.
