ForestClan:
"Wow!" Dovepaw cooed. The deputy? she thought. She looks so old, like an elder!
She glanced back at Foxstar, ready to blurt out how excited she was - but she stopped short. Foxstar's expression indicated that Dovepaw had done something she shouldn't have, and at Bluestripe's warning she took a step back. She threw an apologetic glance at Foxstar.
"Sorry," she murmured.
FlameClan:
Firetail couldn't help but let his tail fall a little. As much as he didn't like the other Clans, he knew he had been just as excited and active as an apprentice. This little apprentice was bright and inquisitive, if a little naive. He glanced at Bluestripe, wondering if they were going to stand here and chat when there was patrolling to be done.

ForestClan
Foxstar nodded his head at Dovepaw's aplogy. It was nice enough for the FlameClan cats to greet Dovepaw. He could read by Firetail's posture he was impatient. "We should start going now," He mewed, glancing at Rainfall and Dovepaw. He looked back at the FlameClan cats. "See you at the gathering," He mewed, flicking his tail. He turned around and started padding back.
FlameClan
Darkheart let out a sigh of relif when Bluestripe didn't react to her greeting badly. She noticed Firetail become bored- she had to admit she was too. Her ears pricked up when she heard Foxstar say that ForestClan was heading back. She did want to introduce herself to Dovepaw- but'll she'll save it for the gathering. She flicked her ears as she watched Foxstar start padding away.

Bluestripe:
Dovepaw's reaction was endearing. She kept her appearance neutral, but Bluestripe noted to greet Dovepaw at any future gatherings the kit might attend. She nodded at her apology. No harm done, and it was nice to have a ForestClan cat apologizing for once. Foxstar didn't seem to notice her look. She nodded cordially, cooly. "Indeed," she mewed, before turning away.
She failed to notice the draining tension her clanmates had. "Well, that was interesting," she said. "We've got a border to patrol, however. That holdup was interesting, but we can get moving now." She abruptly trotted away from the spot where Dovepaw had almost crossed.
Rainfall:
Rainfall sighed as Foxstar lead the patrol away. No harm was done. They watched as the FlameClan cats collected themselves, but soon they were lost in the tangled undergrowth of their home. What an interesting encounter! That certainly would be a story to tell... after a nap, perhaps. It hadn't been as tense as some other border encounters they'd been through - maybe tensions would fade? They glanced at Dovepaw. They wouldn't want that little cat to grow up and lose things she loved as they had.

ForestClan:
Dovepaw followed behind Foxstar, but she turned around to look at the FlameClan cats. Would she see them again one day? She hoped so. She waved her tail to them before setting off after her mentor.
"So what's the best way to catch mice?" she asked, as they padded off along the border.
FlameClan:
Firetail blinked, watching the little cat trot off. He reflected for a moment that she didn't really seem to be aware of the rivalry of their Clans. It would be a hard day for her when she did, Firetail figured.
Eager to keep his paws moving, he followed behind his deputy and Clanmate - leaving ForestClan and their budding warrior behind him.

Darkheart padded after Blustripe and Firetail. She streched quickly before coming beside Blustripe. She could see the apprentince's paw prints right on the scent line. She lashed her tail. "Dosen't Foxstar teach that appertince about borders?" She muttered quietly. It was her first border patrol, though. Darkheart thought. I probably did the same thing when I was an apprentince. She waited for Bluestripe to mark the border first. She was the deputy and should do it first anyway.
