Sandspirit sat on her haunches, tensed up, waiting for a crab to click on by. She grinned to herself as she waited. Her long tail was coiled against her, though she so wanted to wave it in her excitement. She opened her jaws to smell the air and found that the smell of crab, though faint, was there. Her paws sank into the sand as she readied herself to catch one.

"Be careful Sandspirit!" Silverstorm warned as she watched the warrior tense her shoulders. Crabs could be dangerous, especially if they got anywhere near a cat's tail. "Try to flip it over as fast as you can, and watch out for those claws!" Silverstorm knew that the younger warrior probably knew all of this but Silverstorm always felt nervous about warriors catching crabs, it sometimes led to injuries that could of otherwise been avoided.

Shrewheart had padded out to shallow water, hoping to catch a few stray fish. However, much to his displeasure, so far, he had only caught a measly minnow since his first arrival somewhere around sunhigh. Shrewheart wasn't usually one to make such little effort, but today, a large part of him preferred to take the lazy way out.
He frowned slightly, gently picking his only catch off a small boulder. Moving carefully back to shore, he wondered where he would go next. Going to another shallow spot obviously wouldn't bring him any luck, but, then again, going home practically empty-pawed was also a terrible choice. By the time his paws reached dry sand, Shrewheart was beginning to guess that his only option left was to go to deep water.
Or at least, it was, until his eyes suddenly caught sight of distant, gray fur. Blinking in relief, he trotted over to the two cats. They had to have something that he could help out with.
"Hi," he greeted when he was only a fox-length or two away, giving a friendly tail flick. He failed to realize that he was probably interrupting them. "What're you hunting?"
(I still have writer's block, so this won't be the best I can do. :x )
EDIT: (Fixed it!)

"Hey Shrewheart, Sandspirit is a bit busy not getting pinched by a crab, how are the fish?" She meowed, stopping the warrior from getting too close to Sandspirit. "You can help her if you want to but be careful." She meowed, eyeing the warrior over. He was capable as well but the more warriors chasing crabs the more likely someone could get hurt. Silverstorm knew she should trust her warriors but crabs were tricky. She curled her tail over her paws, muscles tensing in case she needed to jump in to help Sandspirit or Shrewheart.
((sorry this is so short))

((ah, i fell asleep! sorry!)) Sandspirit mewed back, "I'll be careful. I'll catch so many crabs just to prove it!" Her tail coiled up even tighter to her body at the thought of it being pinched. "..If they ever come along." To be truthful, she'd begun doubting she'd see one, and she had been out to testing herself against the crabs today.

"Not good," he half-lied, half-admitted. "They must not like the heat." He felt uneasy toward her next question, but hid it by flashing a grin. Of all things, Shrewheart swore that crabs caused the most injuries. "Sounds great," he meowed.
Scanning the area around him for any oddly colored creatures, his ears pricked in confusion when he saw none. "I'm guessing you're not having any luck, either?" he asked, double-checking in case he somehow missed what they were after.

"No luck." Sandspirit frowned, slowly rising to her feet. She peered around at the quite empty shore with a sigh. "Anytime I think, 'Hey, I'll catch a crab today!' there never are any. Mouse-dung." She shook her fur free of any sand that had caught it, and her ears settled back down from their alert position. "I'll get one someday."

Silverstorm shook her head. "None have popped out yet." She admitted, but she wasn't going to let that get to her. "It's good practice anyways, we have to be patient sometimes but it comes with good reward." Silverstorm licked her muzzle, thinking about the taste of crab. It was yummier than fish so a lot of warriors agreed it was worth risking their paws for it. "Don't worry Sandspirit, I can hear some scuttling around, they sound be coming soon." She meowed, tensing.

Sandspirit let out an unintelligible, excited sort of sound as she rocketed back down to her tensed up position, flattened against the ground, trying to blend her pale ginger and white fur into the sand. Her ears were forward, tensed for any sound that might be made. Her tail flattened against her flank, the tip twitching in complete and utter excitement. She imagined her paws as they flipped over a crab, perfecting it in her mind.

Silverstorm purred as she saw how excited the warrior was, "You'll get one, one day!" She encouraged, purring at the time she had caught her first crab. Suddenly Silverstorm saw a crab scuttle to the top of the sand just to the left of Sandspirit. "To your left!" Silverstorm yowled, hoping the warrior would see the crab before it saw her. Silverstorm crouched, tense and ready in case she needed to help the she-cat.
