Sandspirit slowly drew her paw back to herself, ready to spring out. All at once, she exploded into movement, leaping forward while shooting her paw forward to flip the crab. And it flipped! Except, it flew forward propelled by all of the movements that Sandspirit had done at once. "Fox-dung!" She shouted, shooting after it, her tail streaming behind her. She could tell it was on its back, but wouldn't be for very long if it wasn't killed.

Shrewheart was about to offer some words of reassurance, but stopped himself when Sandspirit suddenly got back into a hunting position. Her out-of-nowhere action made his tail fur bristle, and it didn't help that Silverstorm yowled shortly after. He quickly looked in the direction that Silverstorm had mentioned, and, in an attempt to calm himself down, he decided to let Sandspirit make the first move.
EDIT: (Again, whoops! D: I just realized that this forum doesn't do the whole, "Someone has posted before you," thing.)

((it's totally cool haha it happens )) Silverstorm followed Sandspirit, not jumping in to get the crab but watching her back, just in chase another crab decided to make an appearance. "You got this Sandspirit!" Silverstorm meowed, watching the warrior fling herself after it. It had been good technique, but she had just gotten a little bit ahead of herself.

Sandspirit, with a very obnoxiously loud triumphant yowl, stabbed her paw into the middle of its belly, where its nerve was. It went limp, though it had just been reaching up its claws and looking quite angry for a crab. "I got one! I got it!"

Silverstorm meowed in appreciation, "Nice catch!" She called, her tail flicking in happiness. It wasn't a huge crab but it wasn't a baby either. "Are you sure it is dead?" She meowed, sniffing the crab cautiously.

Sandspirit, who honestly wasn't quite sure about its state of being, gave it another quick jab to be safe. "I think so. It hasn't pinched me yet." She picked it up proudly, her tail and her head held high. Her first crab! She'd gone after them twice before with no luck, but today had been the day!

By the time Shrewheart had finally moved into pursuit and caught up to Sandspirit, the crab had been killed. When he first saw that it was unmoving, his ears pricked in surprise. He had expected this to end with several scratches. But, despite this, he purred, pressing his tail against the sand to help smooth it. "Nice job!"

Silverstorm purred in appreciation, she was glad the warrior had got it. She turned to Shrewheart with a questioning look. "Do you want to try? I don't know how many other crabs are around but I wouldn't mind waiting."

"Yeah, we could cheer you on this time!" Sandspirit meowed through her mouthful of crab. Her tail curled in her amusement and her pride in her catch. (sorry this is so short omg)

As embarrassing as it was, Shrewheart couldn't suppress his disbelief. "Sure," he meowed, whiskers twitching nervously. He hoped that his crab would go easy on him- or at least only pinch him once.
Raising his nose to the air, he sniffed. "I think there's another one close by," he noted, referring to one of the very few scents that didn't seem to be stale.
(No problem. Mine are kinda short, too.)
