MountainClan:
Squirrelstar frowned at the thin covering of snow on the ground. The first few weeks of leaf-bare had been snowless, thankfully, but it had not lasted. The cold had set in and the snow was here to stay - and there didn't seem to be any thaw in sight.
She stifled the rumbling of her belly. She was just as hungry as the rest of her Clan - the only cats who ate any better were the young or sick. Squirrelstar had faced worse than hunger before... but it was MountainClan's uninvited guests that made this season worse. So far, any attempt to find out information had been meet with difficulty.
The other Clans will not know our weakness, Squirrelstar thought, glowering down at the Clans clustered in the clearing. They looked like they were thriving - MountainClan warriors seemed so much smaller compared to them. She glared at Foggystar. They cannot know.
OceanClan:
Foggystar watched his Clan mingle with the others, proud of them. Their borders had held - Foggystar had half expected one of the other Clans to get wise about trying to take their land. Especially MountainClan - usually OceanClan's border with their stubborn neighbor was in dispute around now. Perhaps Squirrelstar had finally given up trying to get that patch of territory?
He shivered at the look the short-tailed she-cat was giving him.
My clan has done well this moon, Foggystar thought, looking away from Squirrelstar and out at his Clan. They were still sleek and thick-pelted, thriving off of their stores. We are well prepared for the snows and cold.
--
Mudpath felt very clustered amongst the other Clans. She never really liked the bustle of other cats - her broad shoulders didn't make her comfortable in crowds. She ended up in the middle of a mixed group of Clan cats, huddled together to keep warm. They were faces she had seen before, but had never interacted with.
I suppose it wouldn't hurt to be sociable, she thought.
Taking a deep breath, she meowed, "Hullo."
ForestClan:
Dovepaw fluffed out her pelt, still unused to the cold and wetness of the snow. She shuffled her paws as she headed for the other apprentices from the other Clans. For once, it seemed like the Clans were socializing with one another - even if the cold was what pushed them together, they seemed to be getting along.
It was warm near the other apprentices. Dovepaw settled down and listened to their conversation.
--
Lightningfoot's thick pelt unfortunately made him the target for colder ForestClan warriors. His Clanmates clustered near him and any other thick-pelted warriors, trying to share the warmth. Lightningfoot sighed at their silliness. It was just a little snow! It didn't bother Lightningfoot much...
Breath puffing before his nose, Lightningfoot looked at the other warriors. FlameClan were looking just as thin as they did in greenleaf, but MountainClan... MountainClan seemed different.
"Does anyone else notice that MountainClan is looking as skinny as FlameClan these days?" Lightingfoot asked, keeping his voice close to his Clanmates.
FlameClan:
Flametail lashed his tail, shivering. His pelt was nowhere near as thick as his Clanmates', and the cold seemed to be biting right into his bones. He stuck close to his Clanmates, eyeing the warriors of other Clans. He didn't feel like socializing with them just because the cold had forced them all together.
He kept close to a group of FlameClan warriors as they found a spot near the center of the clearing. The Moontree glistened with frost, its leaves tinkling together in the cold air. Briefly, he wondered why the Moontree never shed its leaves in the cold, like other trees. It was something he'd wondered since he was an apprentice.
((Wolfheart, Ashpaw, Daisypaw, and Ivypaw did not attend this Gathering.
((I am controlling Foggystar during Gatherings (and some other important things) until someone adopts him.
((If anyone wants to see what happened last time, here is the thread for the last Gathering.
((This Gathering will be wrapped up on the 31st!))
